Hourly Driving lessons are now available at IDC Driving School!

Here at IDC driving school we understand that every learner driver is different and has different needs with regards to learning to drive. We understand that intensive driving lessons and courses are not suitable for every learner driver. Although intensive driving lessons give the learner driver a more intensive course over a much shorter period of time, not everyone has the time available for these types of courses.

Hourly driving lessons taken on a weekly basis is the more traditional way to learn to drive. It is recommended to take two hour driving lessons rather than one hour lessons at a time, this seems to be more effective way to learn to drive for the majority of learner drivers. The total number of hours required to prepare fully for the practical driving test will vary from individual to individual, but as a rough guide the average is 45 hours of driving lessons (Driving Standards Agency average, 2006).

Hourly driving lessons are available for pupils that prefer to take this more traditional method to learn to drive. We offer driving lessons during the day and evening Monday to Friday and during the day Saturday and Sunday. We do not charge extra for evening and weekend bookings.

We aim to be as flexible as possible with our driving lessons to accommodate all learner drivers and try to offer the right course for every learner driver.

We offer:

• Driving lessons on an hourly pay as you go basis.



• Driving lessons on a block booking basis ( this will give a discount based on the number of driving lessons booked).



• Part hourly driving lessons and part intensive driving course.

Driving lessons are charged at the same reasonable hourly rate as our intensive driving courses.

Our driving lessons are full one hour or two hour of driving tuition. We do not use your driving lesson to pick you up or to drop-off a previous pupil.

Free pick-up within our coverage area on our time, so you get to spend your full one hour or two hour driving lessons actually learning to drive.

We use current Ford Fiesta dual-control cars that are updated regularly to make it easier and more comfortable to learn to drive.

We are now offering a free pick-up and drop-off service to any British Rail and London Underground station within our coverage area. This is for pupils that want to take driving lessons with us that have to travel from areas outside of our coverage area. There are a number of stations we can use, such as Barnet High Street, Barnet, Southgate, Enfield Town, Enfield Chase, Bounds Green. Please feel free to enquire for any other station within our coverage area.
